We have something a little different for our blog this month. A message from our Lead Architect, Mike Taylor, to announce the launch of Energy Audits UK.

“I’m excited to announce the launch of Energy Audits UK, along with my fellow director and highly qualified energy assessor Gordon Wellings.
Our aim is to provide independent advice to both commercial and residential clients who want to retrofit their property to improve their energy efficiency.
Over the past few years I’ve seen a significant increase in the number of clients asking me to improve the energy efficiency of their home or commercial property as part of their renovation plans.
Retrofitting is a delicate process because it is completely unique to each property. I’ve spoken to far too many property owners who have invested in the wrong technology after a compelling sales consultation, which ends up being incredibly expensive to run, or doesn’t function as expected.
So that’s why I’m excited to introduce Energy Audits UK. Our team includes a number of specialist energy assessors who conduct complex energy audits to help property owners determine the most effective way to retrofit their property.
We work on a completely independent basis. Our role is not to sell a specific brand of solar panel or air source heat pump, but to provide independent and impartial advice and help you to understand which retrofitting measures are most suitable for your property.
Once you have this information you can make informed decisions and create a data driven plan to start your retrofitting journey.
A number of my Taylor & Co Architects clients have already been able to make use of our expertise, and I’m very excited to be able to offer this service to my residential and commercial clients going forward.
